History

Our company was founded in 1985 by Mr. Kunj Bihari Goyal Ji. He established the first iodized salt plant in North India and named it M/s Goyal Iodised Salt Works. He arrived in Nawa with the intention of establishing a sizable salt industry. After realizing how important iodine is, he began iodizing salt and storing it free in 70100 kilogram bags. He began putting salt in 25 kilogram and 50 kg little packing gradually.

Second-generation entrepreneurs Mr. Rajesh Goyal and Mr. Pramesh Goyal joined the company in 2005, bringing new perspectives and bolstering its position. The largest salt washery in Rajasthan was created by them in 2009. An vital resource for human survival is salt. Our firm places a high value on research and development because commodities are universally used and need constant quality improvement. Furthermore, iodization was carried out in an antiquated way. In order to allow for a consistent distribution of iodine and a large degree of impurity radiation, they established a factory for the washing and refining of raw salt.

We began cleaning, iodizing, and centrifuging salt before packaging it for human use. Quality not only allowed our firm to grow tremendously, but it also allowed our goods to reach country homes, where we witnessed many happy consumers. The GSL promoters started a new business in 2016 called M/s Shree Shakambhar Chemfood Industries in Santhalpur, Gujarat, which has a 350000 MT annual capacity for refined salt production.

Under the supervision of Mr. K B Goyal Ji and his siblings, Mr. Lokesh Goyal joined the family business in 2010. In 2011, the Triple Refined Free Flow Salt refinery began commercial production after the foundation of M/s Goyal Salt Pvt. Ltd. was established. With cutting-edge technology and the ability to produce 90000 MT of refined salt annually, GSPL was established as a fully functional salt refinery. In the same year that we reached our full capacity, we discovered that supply is not keeping up with demand. We therefore raised the manufacturing capacity to 250000 MT of refined salt annually in 2015. For a low-value, high-volume product like salt, logistics are crucial. With the intention of establishing the largest salt refinery in India, we purchased 12 acres of industrial land in Gandhi Dham, Gujarat in 2023.

In addition to serving the Indian market, our goal is to investigate the possibilities in the global market, which is easier to do from Gandhi Dham because Mundra and Kandla are the closest ports. The founders of Goyal Salt Limited have approximately 38 years of extensive expertise and have observed the salt industry up close. The salt plants, or karkhanas, owned by the GSL promoters are dispersed over about 500 bighas, ensuring that the company will have 30 to 35 percent of its raw salt needs met. In Phalodi, Rajasthan, in 2023, the promoters of GSL launched a second salt refinery project with a 1.5 lac MT annual capacity.
